Steve Bangs
Chief Executive Officer
Steve became Lifestory Group’s Chief Executive Officer in early 2022, moving across from his position as Regional Managing Director for London & South East. Having joined Anthology at its outset 2014, Steve’s unique career within the construction and operational development industry, spanning across 30 years, has enabled Lifestory Group to become synonymous with exceptional build quality and meticulously considered specification. At the centre of his personal approach as Chief Executive is prioritising our business’ pride in customer service and collaborative working environment. In his spare time, Steve is an avid skier and keen golfer, as well as making sure to dedicate time to his family; a key element of the work-life culture he encourages within our team.
Chris Powell
Chief Operating Officer
Chris is our Chief Operating Officer, joining Anthology in 2017 after holding a director level role in a leading project management firm. Chris has been integral to the successful delivery of complex projects across the Lifestory portfolio, and has been instrumental in leading the development of new design and specifications for our customers across the business. At the forefront of his work is a great pleasure and passion for creating interesting and relevant additions to the built environment. Outside of work Chris is a keen runner and lives in Berkshire with his young family.
David Clark
Chief Financial Officer
David became Chief Financial Officer of the Lifestory Group when it was formed in 2019, having previously been the Chief Financial Officer of Anthology since its inception in 2014. David has been at the centre of the strategic changes made in the new group and drawn on experience gained in Finance Director roles held over the last 20 years. The most recent role prior to Anthology was at a large Central London residential developer, where he supported a threefold growth in revenue over a 6 year period. David has always relied on his expertise in financing, tight cash management and clear financial controls throughout the organisation, whilst maintaining a commercial focus to ensure the corporate strategy is optimised. When outside of work, David enjoys time with family and friends, travelling or enjoying the outdoors, whether on two wheels, on foot or in a boat.
Claudia Desai
Chief People Officer
Claudia is our Chief People Officer as we continue to put our people at the centre of our business. Having worked on the integration of the three brands Pegasus, Renaissance and Anthology to become part of Lifestory Group, she grew our in-house HR team from the outset. Claudia started her Human Resources career within the retail realm, before completing a Masters Degree and later specialised in mergers and acquisitions at engineering consultancy firms. Outside of office hours, Claudia’s artistic and social nature takes precedence as she enjoys mastering all things home improvement, be it wallpapering or painting alongside a healthy dose of karaoke.
