During a recent visit to our upcoming development, Pegasus Lichfield Bonds, which is currently under construction, we spoke to Karl Douglas, Development Director, to discuss his role and what to expect from this new community. 

Hi Karl, could you introduce yourself and your role at Pegasus Lichfield Bonds?

In my role as Development Director for Pegasus I am responsible for the building and development of Lichfield Bonds along with my team. We are responsible for the management of the whole development process from early land acquisition through to planning, construction and handover. We work very closely with our chosen contractor to ensure that we stick to the agreed programme and specifications are kept to the high quality that a Pegasus development demands.

What would you say makes Pegasus Lichfield Bonds special?

It would have to be the sites location! We are sat in Lichfield’s conservation area with stunning views of the famous cathedral. Together with the city's amenities and great transport links all within walking distance. 

The design is another point of interest, consisting of three separate buildings all offering a collection of one and two-bedroomed apartments which in turn will offer open-plan modern luxury. Each have been designed with a later living lifestyle in mind.

What are the key development milestones?

Having gained planning permission approval in October 2021 we carried out the ground breaking ceremony later that year, December 2021. 

We started the demolition and piling in February 2022, followed by the first ground beams being laid in June this year.

Moving forward to nearer completion we are looking at unveiling the sales area in Summer 2023. Together with completion of the whole development by the end of 2023. 

And finally, what is your favourite thing about Pegasus Lichfield Bonds?

Well to me there is a few things - obviously the location is superb that is one of my favourite things about this development, together with the way the building has been designed. Being split up into separate buildings allows a continuation of Quonions Lane. I would say I’m really looking forward to the completion of the external works seeing how it all blends in with the surroundings and character of the local area.
