James Hopson, Development Manager

Following a degree in Building Surveying, James started his journey in the construction industry in Dubai as a building surveyor, before moving back to the UK. Having joined Lifestory in 2019, James brings extensive knowledge of construction methods and works collaboratively with all members of the team. James enjoys the fast paced nature of his role and creating fantastic developments that people aspire to live in. Outside of work, James spends most of his time with his fiancee and cocker spaniel as well as doing a variety of sports activities including triathlons, sailing, kitesurfing and other water sports.

Paul Aitkenhead, Marketing Manager

Having moved to Lifestory in 2016, Paul came with the experience of a number of different Marketing roles from branding and design to international direct mail with envied key accounts. The opportunity to work closely with local communities, building relationships with and collecting the happy testimonials of Lifestory customers has been a particular highlight of working for Lifestory. Paul lives in the New Forest where you'll find him walking his dogs come rain or shine.

Emma Anderson, Head of Customer Operations

Emma has spent the last 12 years working in the retirement sector, both within care and independent living settings. Having joined Lifestory in January 2019, Emma brings her extensive experience in team management to her role and enjoys working with a company who holds the same values, with customers' well being at the top of the agenda. She is passionate about travelling, laughing and looking on the brighter side of life. Her motto is ‘A little more kindness and a little less judgment’.

Karen Hartburn, Lifehost

Karen started her career in sales and customer service, later becoming a site coordinator for Mars Confectionary. It was after moving to Dorset, and meeting the manager at the independent living community where her mother had moved to, that Karen realised it was the ideal role for her. Starting her journey at a development in Ringwood, Karen later joined Lifestory in September 2020, bringing with her experience and the desire to enhance the experience of those living in our Sandbanks Road development. In her spare time, Karen enjoys exploring Dorset, coastal walks, cycle rides and eating out.

Angela MacDougall, Sales Advisor

Angie joined Lifestory in August 2018 bringing 28 years of sales experience to her role, including new homes, mortgages, fine art, advertising and fitness. Her favourite part of the role is understanding customer's needs and providing great customer service. Also having worked on cruise ships with a predominantly 60 plus age group, coming to work for Lifestory was an opportunity to bring all of her customer care experience into one role. Angie's other passions include teaching Pilates, having a cup of tea at her beach hut and walking in the New Forest.

Diana Taylor, Sales Advisor

Diana joined Lifestory in 2016 when she returned to the UK having lived in Spain for almost 20 years. She has an extensive background in luxury Real Estate along Marbella's famous Golden Mile, working with an International clientele. Her lifetime achievements include setting up a unique business which sold over forty Franchises and qualifying in Health & Nutrition which are her passions. Her optimism and enthusiasm for living well - longer fits in perfectly with her sales role for both Pegasus and Renaissance.
