Living in Wareham
One of just two towns in the UK to have retained their original Saxon city walls, Wareham is an ancient market town with a long and storied past that is fascinating to discover. Today, Wareham is a thriving centre offering plenty to do, including at the charming riverside quay, where you can relax, have a drink or take a boat out. There are plenty of independent shops, pubs and restaurants to explore, and twice a month you can stock up on local produce at the farmers’ market, which is held at the Corn Exchange in the Town Hall.
When you want to blow out the cobwebs Wareham is well placed for access to stunning coastal scenery at Lulworth Cove, Lulworth Castle, Durdle Door and Brownsea Island.
