Our Life chapters: Norrie Crader

Norrie’s new catwalk.

Meet Norrie, catwalk queen supreme. Back in the 50s,
she came top in a beauty competition in her native Tyneside
and went on to model for some of the top suit tailors, and swimwear manufacturers.

In 1963, she started her own modelling agency with just a typewriter
and a kitchen table for an office. Although she’s long since retired
(and part of her local bridge club), the agency still bears her name.
Today, you’ll find Norrie at Pegasus Holmwood, a rather fashionable
Lifestory development at Brockenhurst in the heart of the New Forest.
And the camera still loves her.
